Yoga Teacher Training at Om Yoga Academy

Join Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

Om Yoga Academy is dedicated to providing an authentic and traditional Yoga Teacher Training programme. The course is certified by Yoga Alliance USA, and is universally recognised. Rishikesh is the Yoga capital of the world, and so it is the perfect location for you to begin your journey in to the world of teaching. Om Yoga Academy is located in the heart of Rishikesh, a stones throw away from the world’s holiest river – the Ganga.

At Om Yoga Academy class sizes are small. This means students have lots of direct contact with teachers. Unlike some schools, that can have over thirty students, the academy has a maximum capacity of ten. Small size group learning allows for a more sincere passing of knowledge. This is in line with the ancient traditions of Yoga, that has always stressed the passing of knowledge from master to student in a very direct and personal manner. Each student is thus taught as an individual. Therefore they leave a much more accomplished Yoga practitioner and teacher.

The Academy is a professional and credible Yoga school. It exceeds standards across the board. The accommodation is very clean, something the school prides itself on. The sattvic food (traditional yogic diet) is made fresh on the premise daily. The environment at Om Yoga Academy is welcoming and homely. Thus, an ambiance that allows students to feel comfortable and at ease.  This adds to the fantastic experience of embarking on a Yoga Teacher Training Certification.

Yoga Teacher Training Class Rishikesh

General Programme Overview

Om Yoga Academy is committed to providing a course that encompasses all aspects of the yoga tradition. The need for yoga as a path to spiritual development is important. It is not enough to just performs asanas or poses. To dive deeper in to the practice, a holisitic approach is required. At Om Yoga Academy, the ancient texts of yoga are studied (the sutras of Patanjali), and its implications on modern life are discussed. Meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques) and kriya (cleanses) are also explored.
